American Legion joins Charlestown community to mark 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill
The Boston neighborhood of Charlestown has an annual tradition of remembering the Revolutionary War Battle of Bunker Hill, which took place there on June 17, 1775.
Known as the "Bunker Hill post," The American Legion J.W. Conway Post 26 has been a part of the annual commemorations since it's founding June 17, 1919. When it came time to plan the 205th anniversary events - they pulled out all the stops.
