American Legion Department of Illinois leadership toured the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy to get a preview of state-of-the-art facilities currently under construction as part of a $300 million renovation and rehabilitation project funded by the state of Illinois. The nearly 300 veterans and spouses residing at the historic facility will soon move into the new 251,000-square-foot long-term care facility and a 74,900-square-foot independent living facility that will provide enhanced care and amenities for a better quality of life.
